There can be no lag (which knocks out the  ESP8266/Wifi)

Yes.. I know this isn’t the right way to do it. It’s a way for us non-EE types to understand. NOTE: There's a 5V supply to the Nano and PCA9685, which is different than the 12V to the LEDs.
